The invasion of our Land by Fulani Herdsmen dates back to
the days of Orji Uzor Kalu the then Governor of Abia state who spearheaded the
act in conjunction with Eze Agunechemba the Ikenga1 of Lekwesi village. In
August 2019, the Abia writers group visited Lekwesi village in Lokpanta
community, Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia state to get a first-hand
Information of how the land was occupied by Herdsmen.
First, they discovered that a Chinese company called MIFE
CRUSHSTONE COMPANY lasted for about 20 years before it was shut down in 2010.
From the information gathered, shortly after the company folded up, the very
land was alleged to have been secretly given to the Fulani Herdsmen as
political settlement. The people could not confirm if the land was given free
or sold out to them outrightly.
The Elders in Council were not available to speak to us
pertaining the agreement that allowed the Fulani to have dominion over the land
till date. The team of Media Personnel confirmed that Nigeria Army from Fulani
extraction have been guarding their brothers, the Fulani Herdsmen ever since in
this location.
Since the demise of Eze Obiagu Agunechemba the Ikenga1 of
Lekwesi village, early last year, it has been a great time for the Fulani
Herdsmen as they have multiplied in number, their wives, children, and
grandchildren have all joined these Herders. This development has promoted
several atrocities in our Land. They have equally become so powerful and
dangerous to the host communities of Umunneochi. They have created their own
Okada (Motorbikes) and Tricycle Transportation Team.
It is also forbidden for the host community members to
walk into this territory occupied by them and this is due to their secret evil
hatched against the Communities. They Kidnap, rape, maim and chase their host
communities away from their farmlands as they graze freely on their crops.
Unfortunately, our Political Leaders are in support of
these Terrorists for their selfish interests.
Now, we have to move fast and win this unavoidable war
staring at us. We must be vigilant and proactive too.
LET EVERYONE SUPPORT BIAFRA RESTORATION FOR OUR FUTURE
