The lawlessness of the Nigerian government has seriously birthed lawless security outfits, beautified with lawless states and leaders. Corruption and injustice have become the system of government boldly practised in Nigeria. A nation where those at the helm of affairs can take drastic actions without questioning or being held accountable should be reshuffled.

Security, a well-recognized team in every country, guided by the principles of justice, entrusted to protect the lives and properties of the citizens, defend the nation from internal and external aggression and nurtured to be fair and honest in the performance of their duties, has turned to human abductors in Imo state and Nigeria at large.

The abduction of Uche Nwosu, a Nigerian politician and former Deputy Chief of Staff to the Imo State Government from 2011 to 2013, Commissioner for Lands from 2013 to 2015; Chief of Staff from 2015 to 2019 as well as the 2019 governorship candidate of Action Alliance (AA) at Eziama Obaire in Nkwerre local government Area of the state on 26th December 2021 is disgraceful. This high-profile politician was at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Umunwokwe Village, for the thanksgiving service after his mother, Mrs Jemimah Adaeze Nwosu's burial. Masked security men with unidentified vehicles stormed the church premises, shot sporadically, injured scores, beat him up and whisked him away with torn clothes.

Unfortunately, it has become evident that these lawless security operatives perpetrate the high-level insecurity seen in Imo state.

The Imo state police command trickily claimed responsibility to reduce the tension and cover their kidnapping act which they have been carrying out for months in Imo State. These men were masked, weren't in police uniform, had no arrest warrant, shot live bullets, and disrupted church service without fear or respect. They increased the hypertension of aged men and women who innocently came to worship and created inexplicable fear among children. The questions are;

i. What differentiate these men, Unknown gunmen and kidnappers?

ii. Why must this heartless act be done on a Sunday morning?

iii. Why must Uche be put in a car boot?

iv. Why should he be kidnapped in a funeral Thanksgiving service?

These are the men raising dust in Imo. They're responsible for kidnappings and killing of chiefs and men who came in from overseas without investigation. These murderous security agents are the people killing our youths and burning houses for Uzodinma to make Imo state desolate. They have undeniably proven that they're fearless in carrying out their kidnapping duties even inside the church in broad daylight. For this abominable act, posterity will judge them. The gods shall do justice to this cause, for what goes around will definitely come around.
