It is no longer news that all security departments in Nigeria have compromised their loyalty and have unashamedly displayed it in the open on several occasions for the world to see.
The Military and Police brutality during the #EndSARS protest is still very fresh. The wound and scars are still there. Families of the slain are still mourning. The bitterness of Nigeria youths during the period #EndSARS is responsible for the present-day security situation in Nigeria.
The purpose of the protest by Nigeria populace was simply to appeal to the conscience of corrupt leaders, to draw their attention to the deteriorated state of the country. Unfortunately, like always, the untrained, heartless and sectional Police and Army Operatives descended on the people, killing and maiming.
At the end of that October 2020, more than five hundred Igbo Biafrans were abducted by the Nigerian Military with the maximum support of Rivers State dictator and tyrant Governor Nyesom Wike. They were distributed to different military barracks in the north for further torture and dehumanization. The women amongst them were turned into sex slaves for months without access to any law court.
While this torture raged, there was neither help from government nor from international communities. The only help came from the leader of indigenous people of BIAFRA, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. When the information of this abduction and transferring of Biafrans to the north got to him, he moved in swiftly to save lives. He mobilized lawyers across the nation who went in search of the people and instituted charges against government in courts. The lawyers were able to secure bail for about 400 while about 110 are still there. Some died out of torture and were disposed in the north.
Several assassination attempts were made on Barrister Chukwuemeka Okoroafor (Esq) for daring to rescue these innocent Biafrans who are going through trauma in various prisons. His home has been invaded on other occasions but never for once did the Nigeria Police carry out investigation on these attempted assassinations.
While the Military and Police were executing these evils on innocent people in the South, Boko haram and Fulani banditry spread in the north. These terrorists invaded and killed majority Christians in thousands, burned down houses in several villages and communities, and chased survivors away. The deserted communities were quickly renamed by the killer Fulani herdsmen.
At the height of government complicity in the loss of lives and properties by majority Christians, the Eastern Security Network (ESN) became a child of necessity. The took responsibility of defending our farms and forests from invasion of terror herdsmen.
In conclusion, let the military relocate to their rightful duty post and vacate the communities in Biafra Land. They must release the people they kidnapped from their homes without further torture.
In Biafra, we stand and forever we shall stand.
