On Sunday 24th January, 2021 IPOB Ebonyi family held a state coordinators and heads of departmental meeting at Ngbo in Ohaukwu LGA.
The meeting which was anchored by Mazi Wisdom Ezike Nwambam the newly appointed state coordinator, ought to have in attendance coordinators, deputy coordinators, heads and deputy heads of departments and their secretaries, unfortunately many couldn't attend the meeting for reasons yet to be ascertained.
The state coordinator Mazi Wisdom Ezike Nwambam called on all the coordinators both those in the meeting and those absent to work hard in their respective jurisdictions for the progress of IPOB in the state, he equally pleaded for peace to reign in the family and asked all and sundry to come together and join hands to move the state forward.
It is no longer a news that there has been division and misunderstanding among the family members of IPOB in Ebonyi state though many pretend over it, this is followed with the removal of Mazi Igwe Ogbonnaya as the state coordinator by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the supreme leader of IPOB worldwide. The aggrieved family members lamented that they were not satisfied with the way Mazi Igwe was dismissed despite his doggedness in Ebonyi state IPOB family especially in the side of security.
The meeting was mainly focused on how to move the state forward and stand firmly to defeat the enemies of the people of Biafra and Ebonyi state in general.
Shortly after the introduction of the attendees, the state coordinator Mazi Wisdom Ezike Nwambam on his opening remark appreciated those who attended the meeting, on the other hand he sent Mazi Tobias Okorie, the deputy state media head out of the meeting over his divergent view post on his Facebook account timeline.
Reports were received from the coordinators and heads of departments present in the meeting, many complained that the turn up and cooperation of members in their jurisdictions has not been encouraging, but promised to invest more time on the underground work to carry all and sundry together to move Ebonyi forward.
Mazi Ojima Kenneth the Ohaukwu LGA coordinator pleaded for help over the bloody Crisis going on at Effium as a result of loggerheads between the Local Government Area Chairman Mr Sunday Odah and Ohaukwu south house of representative member in Ebonyi state House of Assembly, on the case of who controls the popular Effium motor pack.
He said that many has been killed, houses burnt and thousands displaced from their homes, he urged the media to keep bringing all the happenings to public domain for the world to know what's happening to know the areas they'll render their aid.
In his report Mazi Ogeh Friday Igiri the state media head said that everything is moving well in the department, but he called on the coordinators to work with the media in bringing notice of all the happenings in their jurisdictions to the media for dissemination, he urged the media personnel in their respective jurisdictions to always attend state meetings, workshops and trainings, reacting to how his colleague was sent out of the meeting by the state coordinator, he condemned it saying it is an embarrassment to invite somebody for a meeting and dismiss him in that manner.
The state coordinator and the secretary Mazi Chukwuma Ekeh asked the coordinators to submit the data of their members, units and zones as earlier demanded. He urged them to be serious in handling matters of such kind.
