She died on Thursday 13th April, 2020 on the early
morning by 3am. This ugly incident occurred after she was delivered of baby who
also kicked the bucket at the moment.
Mazi Igwe Ogbonnaya confirmed this to the family members
of IPOB, who could not hesitate but rushed in their large number to his country
home at Ugwulangwu to sympathize with him and the immediate family.
Some family members of the deceased who stayed close to
her, before she gave up the ghost explained that the dead was not ordinary, but
a strong attack from the enemies; narrating the level of ordeal she passed
through before she passed away, within some hours and what the doctors did to
save her life but to no avail.
Speaking for and on behalf of IPOB Ebonyi state, Bishop
Nwachinerem Stanley the public relations officer of IPOB Ebonyi state and the
deputy National leader of Supreme Clergy Council of Biafra (SCCOB), urged the
family especially the husband of the deceased to take heart and summon courage
to bear the big lose, he said IPOB will never let the family down in this
perilous and critical moment of pain and mourning.
The state executives of IPOB Ebonyi state as well as
heads of departments, the three senatorial districts coordinators, the local
government area coordinators, zonal and unit coordinators and members, largely
went to sympathize and encourage their state coordinator, Mazi Igwe Ogbonnaya
to be strong and remain courageous as a strong man.
Mazi Igwe Ogbonnaya appreciate IPOB members, friends and family
for coming from far and near to show him love and proving the slogan of
'Onurube Nwanne agbanaso', despite the hurdles one need go through before
reaching his or her destination as a result of difficulties caused by the lock
down to control the Corona virus outbreak.
Speaking to the lovers of freedom he said "It is hard for me to
bear but it has happened it has happened, no one knows what would have happened
if this one this not happen".
Many has continued paying condolence visit to the family
of the deceased.
The burial arrangements have not yet been made known by
the family as a result of the ongoing Corona virus pandemic ravaging the world,
which led to the government directives of total lock down and temporary ban on
activities such as funeral, marriage ceremonies and such events capable of gathering
together more than twenty persons at a time.
This ugly incident occurred few days after Mazi Igwe
Ogbonnaya and other IPOB members were forcefully arrested at Ugwulangwu his
country home by the Nigeria police and detained while fighting for justice to
prevail but later released through the intervention of IPOB legal team in
Ebonyi state led by Barrister Orogwu Cyril.
Many was of the opinion that something went wrong with
her the moment she heard of the arrest and detention of her husband in her
condition as a pregnant woman awaiting delivery of baby, many put the blamed on
the Nigeria police over the demise, because this might has happened as a result
of the shock and health challenges she incurred following the arrest and
detention of her husband.
