Biafra: Serve Nigeria, Come Back With Shame

Every Biafran serving/served politician in Nigeria is a victim. The current illusion in Nigeria, “FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION” is actually an ethnic cleansing and complete injustice against Biafrans. In a situation whereby someone from the eastern region commits a crime, gets jailed, while someone from the north that committed same crime gets away with it; such cannot be called fight against corruption.

Ex-governor Orji Uzor Kalu an indigene of Igbere in Abia State on December 2019, was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment for seven billion naira (N 7,000,000,000) during his tenure as the Governor of Abia State.

The former national publicity secretary of PDP, Mr. Olisa Metuh who hails from Olisa Metuh is from Otolo Nnewi Anambra state, was on 25th Feb 2020, convicted and sentenced to seven years imprisonment for guilt of money laundering and criminal diversion of funds to the tune of four hundred million naira (400,000,000).

Murtala Nyako from Adamawa state, a former Governor of

Adamawa state, money looted from Nigeria Government: twenty nine billion naira (29,000,000,000)

Mohammed Danjuma from Gombe state, a former Governor of Gombe state, money looted from Nigeria Government: twenty five billion naira (25,000,000,0000).

Abdullahi Adamu from Nasarawa State, a former Governor of Nasarawa state, money looted from Nigeria Government: fifteen million naira (15,000,000).

Sambo Dasuki from Kaduna state, a former National Security Adviser to the former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele, money looted from Government: two billion, one hundred million naira (2,100,000,000).

Joshua Dariye from plateau state, a former Governor of Plateau, money looted from Nigeria Government: one billion, two hundred million naira (1,200,000,000).

Babachir David Lawal from Adamawa state, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, money looted from Nigeria Government: two hundred million naira (200,000,000).

I believe in decency, I am a supporter of no criminal, however, justice should be a priority in every society. That which is good for Orji, Metuh and all other politicians from the eastern region going through persecution for fraud and in future is also good for those politicians from the north.

Come to think of it, going by the volume of amount stolen, those from the north would have been all routine in their various grave.  

Nevertheless, this has taken me to one of the quotes made by the leader of Indigenous people of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu during his major broadcasts on radio Biafra “serve the zoo and come back in shame”. This does not only make sense, it has also defined the current states of all the eastern politicians in Nigeria. If you are one among them, it’s high time you think wisely.
