The official inauguration of Ishielu local government
chapter of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) witnessed a colourful
ceremony. The inauguration took place on 10th October, 2019 at Oshiegbe.
The inaugural ceremony was officiated by the central senatorial
district coordinator, Mazi Ikechukwu Nwankwo on behalf of the state coordinator
who was unavoidably absent. Mazi Ikechukwu Nwankwo commended the IPOB in
Ishielu for being resolute and formidable in the propagation towards the
restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra.
The central senatorial coordinator who was overwhelmed
with the population turn out, lamented over the ugly incident that took place
during the Ebonyi local government area inauguration in which the innocent and
unarmed IPOB family members were attacked by the Nigeria combined security team
leaving many with various degrees of injuries some arrested and abandoned in
their custody. He urged them to continue to be resolute in the struggle, adding
that they should never allow themselves to be intimidated.
Mazi Nwankwo remarked that victory was around the corner,
stressing that they should not relent in preaching the gospel for the
restoration of Biafra. In her contribution, the senatorial deputy women leader,
Lolo Ozuma Martina enjoined the Ishielu women to embrace the struggle en masse,
never to surrender.
Also, in a brief remark the local government coordinator
expressed gratitude to all and sundry, promising that Ishielu will do anything
humanly possible towards the restoration of Biafra. The Ohafia unit was also
inaugurated. The inaugural ceremony was followed with mass evangelism in the
market places and communities.
