To establish a simple truth, the British didn't travel
half way across the Atlantic Ocean just to spread democracy. They came to
acquire NIGERIA as an investment and this is how it has remained. Historical
accounts state that the British tricked the native chiefs into signing
agreements that gave them the exclusive rights to export palm oil after
originally agreeing that there will be free trade in the region. The chiefs
believed this and signed deceitful contracts that were written in English.
It is on record that The Berlin Conference of 1884–85 was
a meeting between European nations to create rules on how to peacefully divide
Africa among them for colonization.
Afterwards, Nigeria became a "Royal Niger
Company" and a mercantile company chartered by the British government in
the nineteenth century. It was formed in 1879 as the United African Company and
renamed to National African Company in 1881 and to Royal Niger Company in 1886.
In 1929 the company became part of the United Africa Company, which came under
the control of Unilever in the 1930s and continued to exist as a subsidiary of
Unilever until 1987, when it was absorbed into the parent company.
In 1899, Royal Niger Company charter was revoked,
following the revoke, the Royal Niger Company sold its holdings to the British
government for £865,000. That was the price Britain paid, to buy the territory
which was to become known as Nigeria.
Britain doesn't care about the people in NIGERIA nor do
they care about war going on each year. The only thing that makes sense to them
is the Oil Exploration in Nigeria.
Unless we wake up to the reality of the scam going on in
Nigeria and the need to be free from the fangs of British Colonial Masters, we
shall only deteriorate to the abyss. A man who believes in freedom will do
anything under the sun to acquire, or preserve his freedom. We are the ones to
destroy the hold of British on us, nobody else can do it for us.
We the Indigenous People Of BIAFRA shall continue to call
for a sovereign State of BIAFRA. It is only the achievement of Biafra that can
give us Freedom and a breath of fresh air.
