EPISODE 2: THE MAYHEM CAUSED BY FULANI HERDSMEN IN ABIA STATE

The reports of various attacks and rape by the Fulani Herdsmen cannot be overemphasized and most affected State in recent times is Abia.

It is no news to raise alarm about the serious siege laid by these Herders in various parts of the State of Abia. In Abi, a region off Amaeke village in Umuaku community within Umunneochi Local Government Area has been under serious siege by control of the Fulani herdsmen. Before this time, there was relative peace until these unplanned visitors came into the area through political manoeuvring and compromise by the Abia State Government. Since their arrival, there has been ceaseless cases of burgling, stealing, rape killing, kidnapping, maiming and destruction of properties has become the order of the Day by these hoodlums.

It is on record that on the 23rd of August, 2019, a house, newly built by one Uchenna Obasi in Amaeke, Umuaku community was burgled beyond imagination. This shameful act has become the order of the day and the people have become helpless as the Government has looked the other way. These hoodlums dismantled the Roof of Uchenna Obasi's new house, the Alumaco doors and Alumaco glass windows were also stolen by the Fulani herdsmen who were on total raid. Pictorial evidences are very much available, even the footprints of the Fulani's Cows that matched are all over the premises.

The Youths have on different occasions mobilized themselves and chased the herders away but to their surprise, within a space of one-week, new set of Fulani Herdsmen reappears. They position themselves around the mountainous region close to the roundabout of Umuaku community.

Recall that on the 24th of August, 2019 the Youths of Umuaku put up another fiery move chasing the Fulani Herdsmen away but the move turned sour, one of the Cows collided with one of the Youths of Umuaku and he was killed.

This is what Indigenes of various communities in Abia State are passing through in the hands of these terror herders on daily basis.

While we live in fear of attacks and rape by these Fulani herders, they are matching courageously and having a filled day in different communities. The present Government of the day, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is unashamedly found supporting them.

The restoration of BIAFRA is Imminent and it remains the only solution to this impunity taken too far because the elected Political Leaders are complete slaves to their Fulani Masters in Aso-rock.
