ISLAMIZATION AND FULANIZATION OF NIGERIA

The hypocrisy of Nigeria is no longer a matter of argument, the country is now 'Nigeria of hypocrisies'. The tragedies Citizens go through in the hands of the Bokoharm and Herdsmen insurgents are clear evidence to this very fact. The rampaging is in line with the Islamization agenda. 

The former president, Olusegun Obasanjo lamented on this very fact and also mentioned that the Islamization and Fulanization were on course throughout Nigeria. However, the same Olusegun Obasanjo spent a good 11 years in power but could not make a difference to this underlying Islamization Agenda. Of what good are his cries? Height of hypocrisy! He had been a party to the same agenda. 

The evil activities of these terrorist groups (Boko Haram and Fulani Herdsmen) have stretched over to places like Taraba, Benue and Zamafara states etc. For many donkey years, Biafrans had been the sacrificial lambs before this unexpected escalation of the Terrorist's rampaging. Gen. Theophilus Danjuma, a faithful companion of Obasanjo, was also complicit in the Islamization atrocities. Now, the killings are going on at his backyard, and his tone has changed, this shows that whatever a man sows, he will definitely reap. 

The Islamization and fulanization of this heterogeneous society started during the time of migration of Uthman Dan Fodio, a jihadist who led a jihad war against the Hausas and imposed sharia on them. Uthman Dan Fodio and his followers came from Futa Jalon through the Niger Republic. Continuing from where Uthman Dan Fodio stopped, Sir Ahmadu Bello, when he was the Sarduana of Sokoto, used his position to campaign for the total Islamization of the north. The Nigerian prime minister at that time (Alhaji Tafawa Bellewa) and the sultan of Sokoto (Alhaji Ahmadu Bello) were misappropriating the government resources and machinery (Nigeria military) to push the frontiers of Islamization of Nigeria. 

After sir Ahmadu Bello's address in mecca, he was elected the vice president of the Muslim world league and thus attracted foreign personnel to support Islam in Nigeria. He built many mosques and Quranic "missionaries". The dictatorship of President Ibrahim Babangida took the agenda to a new height, he registered Nigeria as a member of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC). He paid millions of dollars to the OIC for dues, and full membership, he donated 90 billion daollars to OIC for total Islamiztion of Nigeria, and all these monies came from the oil in Biafraland. Sir Akanu Ibiam, one-time Governor of Eastern region of Nigeria, and a former traditional ruler of Afikpo in the then Imo state warned that "Muslims must stop aggression and Nigeria must withdraw from OIC".

In conclusion, this is why the indigenous people of Biafra are calling for the dismemberment of the entity called Nigeria. There are deep, subtle moves to Islamize and Fulanize Nigeria and enshrine the sharia legal system as the law of the land. These moves are in contradiction to section 10 of the 1999 constitution, which states that Nigeria will not adopt any religion as a state religion.
