Biafra: Sit At Home, A Day For Sober Reflection

It is on record that May 30th of every year is a day special for the people of Biafra region.

It can be recalled that on May 30th, 1967, the Nigeria state left the people of the old eastern Nigeria with no option than to declare the independence of the Republic of Biafra. But instead of letting the people of Biafra go since they were hated and killed just for answering Nigeria citizens, the Nigeria head of state as advised by the lord and creators of Nigeria, Britain, waged a genocidal war of extermination against the battered and already wounded people of Biafra which lasted for 3 years and claimed over 6 million lives both recorded and unrecorded.

And now over 40 years after the war officially ended in 1970, the present leader of the Biafran people worldwide Mazị Nnamdị Kanụ and the IPOB (Indigenous People of Biafra) leadership declared May 30th a day for SOBBER reflection and mourning of all departed heroes who died in the course of fighting for the freedom of the Biafran people.

Three days ago being May 30th, 2019, the rate of compliance with IPOB sit at home order was extremely high as over 98 percent recorded. The big cities, commercial places, offices, banks, schools, markets, and even every road was deserted that one can actually take a good nap peacefully on the highway.

With this development, I can see the birthday of one of the most important holidays that will gain a stand in the nation of Biafra when it's finally restored.
