The members of IPOB in Ebonyi state on Thursday 9th, May 2019
unanimously attended the funeral of her late member, Mrs Ifeoma Achuka, who
died on March 26th, 2019 after a brief illness.
Before her death, late Mrs Ifeoma Achuka was a hardcore member of IPOB
led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in Ebonyi state, Abakaliki Province.
The members of IPOB in the state who attended the funeral used the
opportunity to further preach the gospel of Biafra restoration to the entire
domiciled of the area and all who attended the burial from Anambra state and
beyond.
Mazi Hycent Nnabuike An elder in the community also a Biafra veteran who
persisted that the members of IPOB who attended the funeral of his late cosine
sister must step foots in his compound took time to narrate his ugly
experiences before, during and after the genocidal war between Nigeria
and Biafra from 1967-1970, he prayed Chukwuokike Abiama (God Almighty) to keep
and protect Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and those who are genuinely agitating to restore
Biafra, he pledged his total loyalty and support to IPOB till Biafra is
restored.
Mazi Ezike Wisdom the Ebonyi North senatorial district coordinator and
some of his executives attended the burial, Mazi Iduma Onyemachi the Ebonyi
state welfare officer represented the state coordinator, Mazi Igwe Ogbonnaya in
the burial.
Mrs Onyibe Celine and Mrs Elom Oluchi represented the women in the
burial including others numerous to mention here.
Mazi Wisdom Ezike Nwambam, Ebonyi north senatorial district coordinator
while addressing the family and those who came to solicit with the family;
encouraged them to take heart as they mourn the death of their beloved
daughter, sister and aunty. He confirmed that before her untimely demise, that
late Mrs Ifeoma Achuka was a hardcore member of IPOB in Ebonyi state, Abakaliki
province.
Speaking for and on behalf of the state IPOB, Mazi Iduma Onyemaechi who
represented the state coordinator the welfare officer appealed to the family to
bear with them on the side that the attendants from the state were not much as
usual, this he blamed on the other schedules seriously seeking the immediate
attention of the state which according to him was inevitable, he assured them
that the contributions made by late Ifeoma Achuka in the agitation to restore Biafra
in Ebonyi and beyond shall not be forgotten in a hurry, he added that all the
things that IPOB ought to do for the family of the deceased must be done duly,
he prayed Chukwuokike Abiama to prevent the reoccurrence of such a tragic death
in their family henceforth.
Many who attended the burial declared their interests to identify with
IPOB and make their meaningful contributions which they were guided on how to
go about it.
The message for the 'Sit At Home' in honour and remembrance of the
Biafra fallen heroes and heroines by IPOB and all Biafra lovers of freedom in
the entire Biafra land on 30th May, 2019 as affirmed by the leadership of IPOB
was equally disseminated to the public, who reacted in accordance to comply to
the message.
Speaking for the family, the parents to the deceased, Mr & Mrs
Achuka who based in Abakaliki the capital of Ebonyi state for business;
appreciated those who came to mourn with the them at the time of their
distress, they prayed God to grant them safe journey back to their various
homes.
