A dictatorship is a government or a social situation where one person makes all the rules and decisions without input from anyone else. Dictatorship implies absolute power — one person who takes control — of a political situation, a family, a classroom or even a camping expedition. I owe no apologies to anyone Buhari is a dictator. All the decisions taken by the Nigerian government, today is by one person (Mr President, MUHAMMADU BUHARI) which is just the work of a dictator in charge.
Millions of Nigerians may be confused about what is going on in the system, but I'm here to clear all your doubt. Let's look back from the beginning of Buhari' s administration from 2015 till date, what have you observed? Let’s just look at Rule of Law and take disobedience to Court orders. The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was illegally arrested and detained in DSS cell in Wuse phase 2 Abuja. The DSS was forced to arraign him in a court of competent jurisdiction, the presiding judge granted Mazi Nnamdi Kanu bail, but the DSS refused to release him. The DSS went to another court, the presiding judge released Mazi Nnamdi unconditionally, but Buhari personally disobeyed the court order and asked the DSS remand Kanu back to prison.
Read an extract from Nnamdi Kanu interview with the Sun newspaper. In the interview with The Sun, Kanu recalled how the federal government refused to release him after the court ordered his release. He told those calling for his arrest to demand the arrest and detention of the president instead as he disobeyed court orders. He said, “President Muhammadu Buhari was the one who broke the laws, he disobeyed the direct court order to release me unconditionally, not once but twice" and also.
“Honorable Shuaibu of Wuse magistrate court granted me bail, Buhari did not release me. Hon Justice Ademola granted me unconditional bail, Buhari and his cousin, Daura refused to obey that court order. They are the ones who should be detained for flagrant disobedience to court orders. I want the northern Arewa irredentists to call for the arrest of Buhari and Daura for flouting court order after court order. It is a mark of hypocrisy and absolute cowardice that people could not rise up in defence of the law when a court made a judicial pronouncement and are now clamouring for my arrest because they believe it is easy to do so. Before now, Nnamdi Kanu is Igbo, he is a Biafran and can be arrested, and nothing will happen but that would not be any more, it would no longer occur.
This injustice did not only happen to Nnamdi Kanu but also affected some other Nigerians like Dasuki, El Zak Zaky and others. Now the question is, will Nigerians keep folding their arms and watch one man decide the fates of millions of Nigerians that may lead all to doom? No, something needs to be done rightfully. I personally understand the pains in the process of removing a dictator, but one thing that is required to achieve that is consistency. Nigerians have tried to remove dictator Buhari with their PVC it did not work. They did not vote Buhari out simply because Buhari never allowed their vote to count, that is also part of the dictatorship.
The revocation of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's bail by Binta Nyako is a confirmation that the judiciary is not independent but takes orders from the president. No judge will revoke the bail of an accused whom the military invaded his house with armoured personnel carriers, two helicopter gunships and one fighter jet and killed 28 people while trying to kill him. The revocation is a clear indication that the president is in control of the courts.
So before talking about the re-arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, Muhammadu Buhari should be removed as the president of Nigeria and made to serve a prison term as a serial defaulter of the Nigerian laws. He defaulted when he overthrew an elected government in 1983, he has also defaulted by disobeying court orders. Buhari and not Mazi Nnamdi Kanu should be arrested.
