On the 20th
February 2019, the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) in Obigbo Igweocha
Province held an interactive sessions at the local government Area (L.G.A)
Rivers State in the bid to educating the public and the IPOB families on the
misconception many were having on the reasons why IPOB leadership lifted the
ban on election boycott. Many have this mindset that IPOB leadership has been
bought over by the tyrannical government of Jubril Aminu Al-Sudani but far from
it. The election boycott was used to get something that is quite beneficial to
us a people. According to IPOB leader, he said via Radio Biafra that any day
the government of Nigeria meet to our demands, the election boycott will be
lifted which he did.
Indeed, it was a
great moment with IPOB families in Igweocha Province of Biafraland. A moment
with formidable activists who were ready to bring down the walls of Jericho
(Nigeria). It was educating and an eye opening for those that were present in
the meeting. Lots were discussed in the meeting, questions were asked for
clarification on why the leader of IPOB Mazi Nnamdi Kanu lifted the ban on
election boycott etc.
The L.G.A Obigbo
Rivers State meeting was anchored by Mazi Sunny Isaac. They deliberated more on
why the Boycott of the election was lifted. According to IPOB leader, a
document issued to the Federal government of Nigeria by IPOB leadership was
signed, sealed and delivered. There were no needs to still stand on the Boycott
of the election since our demands were met. He urges every officer handling any
position at various zones and units to be up and doing because the dancing
steps of the struggle has changed.
We must remain
resolute, relentless, formidable and fearless before our enemies because we are
going home soon. Everybody must sit up or be removed for those that will handle
the position. Indeed, Biafra is a spirit. If we could hold the Nigerian state
to a standstill and they came begging even without firing a shot. Then we
shouldn’t give up because our Freedom is inevitable. We must watch our fellow
comrades back he urges everyone.
Every revolution
is built solely on people’s culture. The way the vultures have devoured our
children leaves a question mark on the validity of our non-violence struggle. I
am aware that in any form of resistance, when the government is killing
registers, they are, as well forcing them to retaliate.
The questions
that we have failed to answer since the resurrection of the struggle is, how
did the first Biafra come into existence? What are the known approaches to the
struggle of the people of Eastern Nigeria? The first Biafra that produced
heroes on our side was declared and defined. All known struggle of the Eastern
people especially the Igbo were built on “Nzogbu Nzogbu Enyimba Enyi” Our
struggle has been like waking up sleeping lions and giants. Onye metere nwagu
di-na-ura, obilite Kwa ya agbala oso.” Lion and Elephants are not known for
feasts. They are known to be mean animals and they remain our symbols.
If we continue
to pretend and preach non-violence to an oppressive and tyrannical government
like Nigeria, it is assumed that the Elephants and Lions are in the land are
still sleeping. But if the unjust policies of Nigeria have woken the sleeping
giants, let the jungle have no rest until their spirits are appeased.
A man to whom
the state (Nigeria) brings no benefit has every right and indeed is obliged to
question the oneness of that state if perforce it must include him. For a man
to whom unity remains that of a Jonah in the belly of the whale, that man must
question his situation. He is not comfortable in the whale's belly. It is dark,
it is soggy. He wants to be out. Least he dies. This man owes it to himself to
get out despite the fact that the whale (Nigeria) has felt no comfort. To this
man in extreme lies the obligation to quit.
From the dawn of
history, she (Biafra) has been visited with many scourges first, for his
strength, he was made slaves and in slavery his ability marketed him out for resentment
and persecution. In persecution his resilience led from murder to massacre,
massacre to pogrom and genocide. These self-same attributes-strength, ability,
and resilience ensured for him the fulfilment of his destiny.
The struggle for
independent State of Biafra is inevitable. There is no going back because many
lives have been wasted and what they died for will never be in vein. The
ultimate price they paid for motherland will never be forgotten. Biafra freedom
is the freedom of Africa Continent. It does not matter what the northern cabals
are saying, the fact remains that we are destined to be free. All hail the
children of the light.
