THE women of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) Ebonyi central senatorial
district, Ebonyi state chapter on Sunday 20th January, 2019 held their
executive meeting with the state women leader Evangelist Chioma Iwuala on the
arrangements to boycott the forthcoming 2019 Nigeria organized general election
in Biafra land.
The meeting was held at Okpoku Ezekuna in Ezza south LGA Ebonyi state.
The senatorial district women leader Mrs Nwancho Victoria hosted her colleagues
from the four local government areas in the senatorial district.
Addressing the women during the meeting, Evangelist Chioma Iwuala the
state women leader appreciated them for their doggedness and other innovative
programs that has impacted on the lives of other women in the senatorial
district as well as informed and educated many about the activities of IPOB in
the state. She urged them to double their efforts because "very soon
Biafra will be restored, then we'll all enjoy the fruits of our labour".
She added that this is the time the women need to be more serious
proactive in their activities because "the struggle has changed to a
different dimension and by all means the laborers must change for good at the
same time". Speaking on the area of election boycott, she laid more
emphasis on why IPOB stand on election boycott in the entire Biafra land, she
stated that for it to be successfully achieved, that women must be actively
involved and on that note, she encouraged them to go for door to door evangelism;
as to properly sensitized the women in their jurisdiction on what is happening
and why they need comply to the sit at home order by IPOB to usher in the fresh
and new nation of Biafra.
Mrs Victoria Nwancho the Ebonyi central senatorial district women
leader, appreciated their state leader for making out time to come and be with
them in the meeting, she pledged on behalf of other women in the area that they
are going to deploy the available technic to compel women in their area to
comply to the sit at home on the days of the election on the 2019 Nigeria
organized general election in Ebonyi central and the whole of Ebonyi state. She
extended her gratitude to her colleagues in the senatorial district, their
principal officers and the senatorial coordinator Mazi Ikechukwu Nwankwo for
their support to the women in the senatorial district.
