THE Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Ebonyi state on Sunday 9th
December, 2018 held their December general meeting in Abakaliki the capital
city of Ebonyi.
Members of IPOB in the state especially the principal officers and the
coordinators of units, zones and local government areas including the three
senatorial district coordinators in the state attended the general meeting.
The opening prayer for the meeting was said by Bishop Nwachinemere
Stanley Iwuala, the Public Relations Officer and the leader of the clergies in
Ebonyi state.
Reports were received from different senatorial districts and various
departments from Ebonyi north, Ebonyi central, Ebonyi South, the women
department, Welfare department, Mobilization department, Elders department and
the Clergy department.
The reports from these various departments and zones were all heart-warming
following the reports that more family units are being established and
inaugurated which frequently and consistently flow on the internet.
The coordinator of Ebonyi state IPOB, Mazi Igwe Ogbonna expressed joy
over the level of contribution and efforts of the IPOB members in the state. He
spoke fervently on the state Supreme council of Biafra elders’ inauguration
and the Clergy inauguration which attracted the attention and presence of the
Biafra land IPOB national coordinator, Mazi Ikechukwu Ugwuoha and others.
He equally appreciated the doggedness of the volunteers who stood
gallantly to resist The Nigeria Police Force who was sent to come and stop the
Supreme Elders inauguration by their pay masters in government house.
The coordinators and members present were equally reminded of the
forthcoming funeral of the late member and his wife, Mr and Mrs Uche Nwokorie who
died of motor accident same day while attending a wedding at Imo state,
they will be laid to rest on 19th December, 2018 at his country home Imo state.
The coordinators and members of IPOB in the state during their moment
with the media assured the leadership of IPOB led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu that
come next year 2019, if the freedom of Biafra from the British contraption
called Nigeria tarries to be actualized, that they will make IPOB worldwide
proud, because they will boycott the Nigeria organized general election come
2019.
Mazi Igwe Ogbonna also apologized to the people on the two days offline
of the Radio Biafra relay station in Ebonyi state, saying that the station was
undergoing some maintenance which according to him, will soon be completed and
the radio will be back on air.
