The existence of the country Nigeria is a disgrace to humanity. If one reflects upon the recent happenings in places like Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa, Bornu, Taraba, Rivers states etc., one can’t help but wonder if the country has a government. The Fulani herdsmen are killing people and destroying properties as if Nigeria is in a war with herself.
What is the duty of the government in this circumstance? A particular tribe is terrorising and killing people with impunity, the government is not only doing nothing but is in tacit support of the atrocities. Where is the conscience? Are those being killed not human beings or do they not have rights as citizens and the right to life? We have the thought and understanding that a home/house is for somebody to take refuge in time of danger but if the home does not provide protection or security to its inhabitants of what use is it?
The mass killing has reached a height that should not be tolerated by any country worth her salt. The middle belt has become a killing field where more than 800 people will be killed in one day. Just a few days ago, more than 200 people were killed in southern Kaduna. One is forced to ask those who believe in "ONE NIGERIA" if the middle belt is no more part of Nigeria. The genocide taking place there, are countless- hundreds of people are slaughtered by the Fulani herdsmen every other day. Yet those in government are busy protecting them.
Malam Nasir El-Rufai, the present governor of Kaduna state, tweeted on the 15th July 2012, threatening that anyone (soldier) that kills a Fulani takes a loan repayable one day no matter how long it takes. From the Abia city blog former governor of Abia state, Orji Uzor Kalu said that those killing Nigerians are not Fulani herdsmen, but are those from the Niger Republic; perpetrators were mostly returnees from the Niger Republic who infiltrated the people and pretended to be Fulani herdsmen.
If what Orji Uzor Kalu said is the truth, the questions to him and his slave masters are; where are the country security forces when Nigeriens entered? Why are they trying to force the people to give their ancestral land to the herdsmen who are from the Niger Republic? Why can’t the security agents arrest, prosecute or at least deport these Nigeriens causing trouble in Nigeria. Orji Uzor Kalu should go and tell his slave masters that Biafrans are wiser now. Our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has opened our eyes, and we can now see through their deceit.
We are Biafrans, we value life, so we have decided not to live with people who value their cattle more than humans. We have decided to leave the Lugard created company called Nigeria, and we are going about it the world recognized way. We are waiting for a date for our referendum. Biafrans, the forthcoming referendum determines your destiny. Do not joke with your future and the future of your generations to come.
