The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) in Ebonyi central senatorial
district Ebonyi state on Sunday 7th October, 2018 held their general meeting at
Onueke in Ezza south LGA, the ancestral home of Ezza nation to further show
their commitment and readiness in working hard to actualize the sovereign state
of Biafra.
The meeting was attended by the four LGAs in the senatorial district,
which includes: Ezza south, Ezza north, Ishielu and Ikwo LGA, including the
zones and units in it.
The Ebonyi state IPOB coordinator Mazi Igwe Ogbonnaya equally paid a
courtesy visit to the senatorial district to encourage them in their activities
in the struggle for Biafra restoration especially in the state. "We are
into a serious moment in our struggle for Biafra restoration, therefore each
and every one of you must do the needful" This he said while addressing
the general home.
Mazi Ikechukwu the senatorial deputy coordinator who anchored the
meeting on his opening remark appreciated his people for their cooperation and
commitment saying that "Biafra must be restored but we must as well put in
our own contributions collectively"
When the agendas for the meeting was exhausted, some members of the
senatorial district who attended the meeting; during the general and AOB stage,
made their voices heard.
Mazi Boniface Nwikpuka the Ikwo LGA coordinator urged his colleagues to
work alongside the state as to know what goes on in the family in the state
level and beyond.
Dr. Simon Nwafor, was of the opinion that all who are concerned
especially the principal officers who have not being to Biafra Holy land should
as a matter of urgency respond to the directives from IPOB leadership which is
mandatory to all the principal officers.
The senatorial women leader Mrs Eucharia Nwancho on her brief address
appreciated their men on the high level of doggedness they have so far
exhibited in the struggle, she equally called on other women to come out and
join the agitation because when Biafra is restored, according to her
"Women will be given the equal opportunity with their men counterparts to
showcase their potentialities to the world".
Mazi Okoha John the coordinator of Igbokwe family unit in Ikwo LGA,
expressed his joy over the activities of IPOB in Ebonyi state entirely. He
promised to work harder in taking the gospel to the nooks and crannies of his
jurisdiction at Ikwo in making sure that all and sundry hears the good news for
the actualization of Biafra as a free nation from Nigeria.
A Biafra war veteran elder Ogodo Godwin, narrated a brief history of how
the 1967-1970 Biafra and Nigeria war was fought, the experience of Biafrans,
how the Nigeria government committed genocide on Biafrans and how ready
committed they are in the struggle for Biafra restoration, under the watch of
IPOB led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. He noted that " Biafra is our only hope and
until it is being restored, we shall not rest".
During the meeting they selected persons from all the local government
areas in the senatorial district to form the complete senatorial principal
officers.
Mazi Ogeh Friday Igiri the Ebonyi state IPOB media head, while
addressing the people urged them to help the media in the area of information
on what is happening around their areas for easy dissemination to the world, He
equally advised them to remain focused despite what the politicians are doing
in preparation for their planned 2019 general elections. Which according to him
may not hold water "These politicians has come to kill and to destroy,
they don't mean well for you, so stay away from them and focus on the agitation
for Biafra restoration because it is over with Nigeria".
Before Dr. Simon Nwafor from Ikwo said the closing prayer, Mazi
Ikechukwu the central senatorial district deputy coordinator who anchored the
meeting appreciated his members for coming and prayed Chukwu-Okike-Abiama to
continue to abide with them in all their endeavours.
