Ama Chukwugoziem (Abia writers)

There is an eye-catching transition going on in the Nigerian Islamic, visionless government, characterized by certain phenomenal activities apparently suggesting that Biafra restoration is at the daybreak of a new era. In Nigeria, Biafrans are not at liberty. They are restrained from living their lives as free human beings in the land, which is against the principles of freedom.
The Nigeria Islamic army recently announced their exercise code-named "OPERATION PYTHON DANCE III; this is an act of intimidation on Biafrans. Last year, the Nigerian army used the same so-called “Operation Python dance”, to torture and kill many Biafran youths. Presently, multiple roadblocks are all over Biafra land. The military and the police are continually carrying out indiscriminate killings of innocent Biafran youths.
Also caught up in this brutal dehumanization operation, is the crackdown on Biafran women expressing their displeasure on the evil treatment being meted out on Biafrans through the Nigeria military invasion of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's home in Umuahia on the 14th September 2017. Our life and dignity at the moment are suffering significant depreciation.
Nigeria is a country that does not have regard for the rule of law and human rights. We will not fail to address the realities of the present. The intimidation and harassment meted out on the youths affect their psychological well-being. Children are a significant force to reckon with in the society, and the manner in which these children are brought up today would go a long way in determining how the future of the society would look like. The trend of events in Nigeria, speaks of nothing but the enslavement of the people and a bleak future for the youths. This enslavement would be better understood if we trace it to the root, which is the amalgamation of 1914.
There is a Biafran adage that says, "Elders do not watch while a female goat gives birth on a rope". What a shame that the socio-cultural group called “Ohanaeze” did not make any statement condemning the detention of our mothers in Owerri prison in August. The same way they did not raise a voice against the invasion of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s home. Since the enthronement of Muhammadu Buhari in 2015, more than five thousand (5000) Biafran youths have been murder by state actors and Ohaneze, the so-called mouthpiece of the people never raised a voice. Unlike their northern counterparts the ACF who even fight for Boko Haram and the killer herdsmen.
Biafrans are endangered species, suggestively then, the best tool now is the referendum project. This tool will actually lead to the restoration of Biafra. Biafra restoration is our last hope.
