ANAMBRA— Torrents of tears broke out today at Ifite-Oko; the country
home of the late Chimaobi Okafor, as her remains was finally laid to rest.
The outcry by mostly women and youths who came to pay their last respect
to the late Biafra media legend, reached to its crescendo as a casket
containing her corpse arrived at her father's compound for onward preparation
for internment.
The sleepy town was awakened and kept busy by Biafrans and sympathizers
coming from far and wide in their numbers, chanting various songs in unison for
the late former Anambra State Media
Coordinator and Radio Biafra broadcaster.
A minute silence was observed by congregants in honour of the dead.
