The Ebonyi State governor Engr David Nwaeze Umahi ordered thugs and
security operatives in the state to lock any shop that could not open for
business on May 30, 2018 following the 'Sit-At-Home' directives by IPOB
worldwide in honour of Biafra heroes and heroines who died in the struggle for
Biafra freedom.
The information came from a reliable source in the state security
service who pleaded for anonymous, he said that many shops at Kpirikpiri and
other markets in Abakaliki the capital city of Ebonyi state was locked by the
thugs and security operatives sent by the governor.
Meanwhile, the governor on May 29, 2018 issued a warning that no one in
the state should observe the 'Sit-At-Home' else have his/her shop closed by the
government, the threat equally goes to the civil servants in the state that
anyone who failed to attend work on May 30, 2018 will be sacked.
To some who shared their opinion on this said that the governor is being
selfish and self-centred and there is no effort he exhibits that will thwart
the restoration of Biafra.
Some were of the opinion that the act is a complete evidence that the
whole south east and south-south governors and politicians are servants and
errand boys to the Hausa Fulani Sokoto caliphate in the contraption called Nigeria.
