The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under Mazi Nnamdi Kanu mate under Mbaise Sub-zone on Sunday 2nd April for Mbaise general meeting. The meeting which was attended by the Owerri Zonal coordinator saw a mass trudging of people to the meeting venue.
The Mbaise Sub- zone Coordinator ( Mazi Jonathan), who welcomed Biafrans and members of IPOB in the Sub-Zone, motivated them with the historical position of Mbaise in 1967-1970 Biafran War. He cited the popular "Ahiara Declaration" which birthed Biafran state vision. Speaking to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu through the Owerri Zonal Coordinator, Mazi Jonathan promised that Biafrans of Mbaise extraction will not disappoint the Director of Radio Biafra as their ancestors never did to late Odimegwu Festus Ojukwu.
