BIAFRA: I wonder why the World have kept mute over the level of deceits Mohammed Buhari's led administration has turned to. By lying to Nigerians, Buhari and his corruption mantra has to be paid less interest and attention because it proves a high level of fabrication, deceit, and gamble.Since taking over as President of Nigeria, Buhari has granted several interviews over the resurrection of the dying economy that was best known as 'Giant of Africa' during the past regimes and he claimed to use diversification tool as remedy to cuff the dwindling economy that has wrecked businesses, inflict hunger, hardship, criminal tendency, recession, price inflection and total break down.
It will interest you to know that Mohammed Buhari is not resorting to the diversification of the economy any longer rather further strengthening the economy with the help of oil exploration in North East. According to the exertion, Buhari made in Abuja at the 44th Annual General Meeting of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN). With the theme, ‘Diversifying the Nigerian Economy: the Role of Government in Manufacturing.’ Buhari champions to diversify the economy towards Agriculture and Manufacturing.
He said this administration was convinced that the key to the nation’s quest for economic diversification and survival lies in agriculture and the manufacturing sector. A strong manufacturing sector will create more jobs and wealth for our people.
“It will usher in sustainable economic prosperity because we will produce what we consume as a nation and generate foreign exchange by exporting any surplus.
“The manufacturing sector is well positioned to be a primary driver of Nigeria’s economic growth because of our immense natural resources and the entrepreneurial spirit of Nigerians.”
Contrary to his promise to the World, President Muhammadu Buhari has severally ordered the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, to commence the search for crude oil and other hydrocarbon exploratory activities in the Benue Trough and Chad Basin, according to a statement by the NNPC, Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Mr. Maikaniti Baru.
The Benue trough, according to Wikipedia, has its southern limit at the northern boundary of the Niger Delta, where it dips down and is overlaid with Tertiary and more recent sediments. It extends in a northeasterly direction to the Chad Basin and is about 150 kilometres wide. The trough is arbitrarily divided into lower, middle and upper regions, and the upper region is further divided into the Gongola and Yola arms. The Anambra Basin in the west of the lower region is more recent than the rest of the trough, being formed during a later period of compression, but is considered part of the formation.
I wonder how a man with deceitful tendencies will be affirming corruption fight when he can not fight himself. As part of Northern agenda is obvious that Buhari has no agenda to the diversification of economy to agriculture and manufacturing even when same budget bearing/covering oil search in North East still provided for Agricultural empowerment. This is two months off to close 2016 budget and switch in 2017 budget proposals, and Buhari is intensifying pressure to get oil in the North while other agendas lie flat.
Again, A statement by NNPC’s Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Garba Deen Muhammad, on Saturday 15th October 2916 in Abuja revealed new order from Buhari to the NNPC Group Managing Director, Maikanti Baru saying the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has embarked on a more rigorous exploration for oil in the Gongola and other inland basin using the latest seismic data gathering technology. Mr Baru said the latest technology was similar to the ones used by neighbouring countries to discover oil there and the exploration was in strict compliance with President Muhammadu Buhari’s mandate.
