It is no news that the agitation for the release of Mr. Nnamdi Kanu and restoration of Biafra is getting the needed attention from the International Communities, Media and the Nigerian Government. Worthy of note is the ongoing "Sit at Home Protest". This came as a panacea to the gratuitous killing of Pro-Biafra agitators by the Nigerian Military.
Previously, Biafran Patriots have been taking to the highways of Nigeria mostly in the Biafran territory and more than 90 Countries of the World to make bare their grievances to the world in form of legal and orderly protests.
However, such moves have always been thwarted forcefully by the Nigerian Government as they outrightly shoot peaceful protesters and bar the Media from covering such events. Notwithstanding, some of these killings, illegal arrest and torture have been documented by unbiased Media Houses, Human Rights organizations and Wikipedia.
Even amidst the Sit at Home Protest which harms no one, the Nigerian military have been spotted torturing innocent people. Despite all these, Biafrans are still in high spirit as major markets, Schools and Shops within and outside the Biafran territory have been shutdown in commemoration with the Protest, high compliance has been recorded in Aba, Enugu, Anambra, some parts of Akwa Ibom and other states in the Biafran Territory.
The call for an independent Biafra is receiving great support from the cream de la creams of the society. The most recent is that of 170 Anglican Bishops who called off their symposium in commemoration with the Protest. The Nigerian Government is in tension and very confused at the moment because, at the mention of Biafra, they get scared.
This is the right time to put more effort in this movement of liberation. It is quite obvious that resources from the South have been taken to develop the North; Buhari's plan is to drain the South, render us useless, and introduce sharia.
The Nigerian government have been seriously stressed with this kind of protest as it will have a major effect on the dying economy. Nnamdi Kanu is a hero and the people have once again proven their love for the unapologetic leader. All hail Biafra!
