For Biafra Choice Writers
“They mocked his attempts at trying to division amongst IPOB, Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), or all the others engaged in the Biafra struggle. They told him that IPOB and NDA were more sophisticated than anything Nigeria could offer, and that such enterprise against them would fail. They also told him that worst of all was the fact that they enjoy the support of their peoples.”
Biafra’s number one enemy, Muhammadu Buhari, finally took
the plunge to the abyss few days ago. That was when he unleashed his soldiers
on the riverine communities of Biafraland known as Niger Delta. Intelligence
report reaching Biafra Choice Writers revealed that his men were already
unleashing hell at the communities – raping the women, killing defenseless
natives; engaging in illegal oil bunkering activities; and plundering peoples
resources.
Further report showed that he took the decision to deploy
troops in what they called “Operation Crocodile Smile” in response to advice
from his foreign backers. They had advised him to move under the cover of the
current heightened battle against Islamic State of Syria and Iraq (ISIS), which
was taken the full attention of the world, to unleash his mayhem on the people
for rejecting internal colonization.
They advised him further that it was only under such
circumstance that he could do battle in the region without attracting world
attention through the sure genocide that would follow. They told him he could
not fight such a battle (guerilla warfare) without committing genocide against
the people.
Continuing, they mocked his attempts at trying to division
amongst IPOB, Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), or all the others engaged in the
Biafra struggle.
They told him that IPOB and NDA were more sophisticated than
anything Nigeria could offer, and that such enterprise against them would fail.
They also told him that worst of all was the fact that they enjoy the support
of their peoples.
But they did not tell him that the wheel of justice moves
slowly but surely, and that the world had gotten so sophisticated that even
though the world may not notice the atrocities today, that they can easily
refer to it tomorrow. Perhaps he did not remember, and they refused to remind
him of Charles Taylor of Liberia who is currently cooling his feet in prison.
They did not tell him that such an abuse of the military
would hardly solve the economic problem his government has already been plunged
into, but would make it worse. They did not tell him that there interest was
just to keep their military industrial complex in business and keep their
people employed. They did not tell Buhari, and Buhari could not reason that no
serious government makes haste to go to war when it would depend solely on
armaments produced abroad. Buhari did not know that it is foolish to buy arms
to fight internal wars which could be resolved in a round table.
Most pathetic is the fact that Buhari’s foreign backers,
whose interest have been to sale arms, did not teach him that guerrilla warfare
is not fought with thanks, fighter and bomber jets, or missiles. Perhaps he
will now understand it, since bombing of pipelines and oil installations have
continued even after he had deployed his troops. Or better still; the truth
will now dawn on him as his country’s economy is now official in recession and
companies (big and small) are leaving the country in droves.
