Obiano: the fear of the hangman; the beginning of wisdom

The Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano is getting sober by the day, and seeks ways to appease Biafrans for the genocide he committed against them. This is as the consequences of his genocide against innocent and defenseless Biafrans with Nigerian Army and Police, has attracted the attention of international bodies like Amnesty International and International Criminal Court at The Hague.

He had ordered the Nigerian occupation forces to shoot at sight his fellow Biafrans who came out last May 29 and 30 to honour their dead heroes. Since then investigations have been hurting up to bring him and others to International Criminal Court (ICC) at The Hague.

This is why he has been making frantic efforts to reach the leadership of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) through Rommy Amandi Ezeonwuka, who is popularly known as Rojenny (known also as Ogirisi Igbo), the traditional ruler of Nteje. Rojenny is also the chief priest of a political party, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). Believing that Rojenny, who owns a sports complex in Oba, Anambra State had links with IPOB leadership, Obiano told him (Rojenny) that he had a package for IPOB, and would want to be linked with them so that he would deliver.

The APGA man wanted the Governor to hand over the package to him so that he would forward it to IPOB, but Obiano refused, not trusting that the package would be delivered. Instead, he (Obiano) insisted he would want a “one on one” meeting with IPOB leadership.

But IPOB believes Obiani is wasting his time trying to bribe IPOB. They point out how they sent message to Obiano not to have a hand in the murder of IPOB members, and how he ignored it.

Rojenny told the story of how he tried to stop Obiano from killing innocent Biafrans and how he ignored it. The Governor had called Rojenny on the phone on the morning of May 30.

According to Rojenny, aware of Obiano’s penchant to act before thinking, he asked the Governor to thread with caution on the matter when he (Obiano) called him that morning.

“When he mentioned ‘shoot at sight’” said Rojenny, “I shouted on the phone and tried to explain to him how suicidal the order would be, but I did not know he is infected with the Buhari syndrome of hard-hearing”. he explained that Obiano had put himself in a tight corner for while have been accusing him for none performance, he has made another blunder committing crime against humanity.
