BIAFRA
The indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, on Sunday called on all those sympathetic to the Biafra course to join the group tomorrow as it stages a peaceful rally in remembrance of Biafra fallen heroes and heroines who died during the Biafra/ Nigeria civil war of 1967 to 1970 and in the course of the struggle so far.
The group’s spokesman, Emma Powerful in a statement said the peaceful remembrance march will also be used to honour and reassure its embattled leader, Nnamdi Kanu, who is currently being incarcerated that he has not been forgotten.
He said, “IPOB family meetings worldwide invites all electronic and print media companies and international media houses to come and witness our 30th of May 2016 Remembrance day an event initiated by our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and religiously observed since 2014 at the multi-million cenotaph that was destroyed by misguided criminal elements claiming to be working for actualization of Biafra when in actual sense he was working against Biafra, before he was removed by his former followers.
