As the excellent spirit of Biafra continues to make
waves around the world gathering Biafra children wherever they are; the
blood-sucking demon of Nigeria continues to recede in its influence and power,
as Nigeria continues on the final road to its demise.
This morning, May 30, 2016, Biafrans all over the
world rose in more than 88 countries of the world to put up another show that
is, as usual, stunning and thrilling to world. This show comes in the form of
worldwide celebration to mark Biafran Heroes Remembrance Day, also known as
Biafra Heroes Day, or even Fallen Heroes Day.
The show is stunning, as few of them ever believed that
Africans could put up the kind of display of oneness they are seeing. On the
other hand, it is thrilling because the spectacle, the colour and the beauty of
what is on display proved indescribable. Biafrans have developed a culture of engaging
in two major celebrations every year. The celebrations are “Biafran Fallen
Heroes Day”, and “The Day of Atonement”. The celebrations usually start from
the far eastern countries of the world like the United States of America (USA),
and this year’s celebration will not be different.
Uche Mefor, Deputy Leader of Indigenous People of
Biafra (IPOB) and Deputy Director of Radio Biafra and Biafra Television, had said
that the Remembrance Day would be done as was done in the past with some
modifications to add colour and pep. His words: “Biafraland is not left out.
But because of the peculiar security situation that our people face, we will
not say everything openly here. Nevertheless, just understand that we are
moving massively and relentlessly. Our principle officers of state on ground in
Biafraland are aware of all these, and preparations are on top gear to make
sure that this year’s Remembrance of our Fallen Heroes resound more than the
previous ones.” Indeed, he was right because right now, Nigerian Army is
swarming everywhere in Nkpor, Anambra State.
In Biafraland, the major venue shifts every year
from state to state. In 2012, it held in Enugu Ngwo, in Enugu State; and in 2013,
it was a momentous one held in Aba, the Abia State business hub. In all of it,
the practice was that Nnamdi Kanu, Leader of IPOB, and Director of Radio Biafra
and Biafra Television always directed proceedings; doing Biafra and Biafrans
proud.
However, painfully for many Biafrans, he is not around
to do same this year, courtesy of the devil incarnate and the Adolf Hitler of
our time, Muhammadu Buhari. Buhari illegally arrested Kanu last year, and has
been detaining him extra-judicially.
However, Uche Mefor, did not mince words in telling Tim
Tochukwu of Biafra Choice Writers that this year’s celebration was being
planned to gladden the heart of the IPOB leader. Among other reasons given, he
said it was also being celebrated in an impressive way to make it crystal clear
to Buhari and his other Biafran oppressors that Biafrans cannot be intimidate;
that in spite of the torture, prisoning and murder of Biafrans, that they will
not stop to demand for the sovereign and independent state of Biafra.
Mefor went on to inform that the celebration details
for Biafraland, would not be made on air because, according to him, the
peculiar but dangerous circumstances there would not permit it. He however
assured that preparations were in top gear. “… because of the peculiar security
situation our people face, we will not say everything openly here. But just
understand that we are moving massively and relentlessly. Our principle
officers of state on ground in Biafraland are aware of all these, and
preparations are on top gear” said Mefor.
Biafra Choice Writers were seriously on ground at
the venue this morning where finishing touches were being put on the elaborate
plans made for it. Materials and equipment for live-streaming coverage of the
event, installed few days ago, were already being tested and re-tested for
ultimate performance.
